Requirements for the Medical-Dental Final Examination:

The Medical Examinations Center (CEM) informs, that on May 1st, 2017 regulations changing rules for submitting applications to LDEK, as well as changing rules of conducting these examinations, are introduced.
Application will be made only via so-called Medical Employees’ Education Monitoring System (SMK). In order to apply it will be necessary to establish a personal account in this system. This operation is going to be made virtually via the website: https://smk.ezdrowie.gov.pl. Next, it is going to be essential to confirm one’s identity and authority necessary to possess the account. This is possible to do in a proper doctor’s chamber.
The application form for LDEK shall be filed via SMK up to: July 15th of the civil year in which a given exam is held – in the case of examinations held in the period from September 1st to September 30th; November 30th of the civil year preceding the year in which a given exam is held - in the case of examinations held in the period from February 1st to February 28th.
In case of any problems with logging and filing the application in the SMK system, it is recommended to contact the CSIOZ helpdesk +48 19239, open on weekdays from 9.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. (CET) or via email: smk-serwis@csioz.gov.pl.
After these deadlines, there will be no possibility of submitting the application.
The nearest LDEK is going to be held on Tuesday, February 6th, 2024.
In accordance with art. 14a point 5a of the Act on the professions of physician and dentist, this date may change.
Compliant to the art. 14a point 8 of the Act dated December 5th 1996 on professions of the physician and dentist,.
each LEK or LDEK in English is subject to the payment of the examination fee of 340 PLN.
The payment must be made by the bank transfer to the CEM account.
The individual bank account number will be generated and displayed after filing the application in the SMK.
The payment title should include the name of examinee and the session of the exam (February/September).
The payment is not refundable in the case of resignation from the exam.

The examination consists of 200 test tasks (multiple choice questions - 5 possibilities of answer where only one is correct). Thematic structure of the test. Examinees sitting to the examination may familiarize with the instruction of solving tests. CEM also announce the list of books useful for preparing to the examination to LDEK, suggested by Consultants. Such list however constitute only approximate reference, since the scope of material is specified in the above mentioned ordinance. Duration of the examination is 4 hours. The minimal passing score is 56% of the number of valid questions (i.e. 112 if all 200 questions are valid).
